Debbie's folks came over yesterday and it was really nice to get to see them as it always is when they visit.
One of Jack's Christmas gifts was this set of lovely train parts. We set it up and played with it Saturday morning.
When I traveled to Grand Rapids a few weeks back I found a store very near to my hotel that stocked their stuff and I bought a few to bring back home. The fellow working the counter told me about a tasting session that the resturant Hopcat was having on the 25th. Of course this would have been hard to get to but I did get around to looking at the bar's website. Wow. The food offered at the Dogfish tasting didn't appeal to me but the decor did as well as the selection of Dogfish and other brews. Granted their prices on some of the Dogfish products are ridiculous but hey, what can you do. The next beer I need to try from this place is their Palo Santo Marron, which looks very tasty. Check out the links within this paragraph, see what I'm talking about.
Now see this Fort? Why did I try it? David Lee Roth. He once said, "Never drink anything that you can see through".

Enough about beer, let's get back to photos of the fam...
This outfit that Sophia is wearing came from a box that Ron and Maureen brought over from Lovells. When the box was opened it contained some of Debbie's baby clothes from back in the day. Some stuff was washed, some stuff wasn't, but we threw an outfit on her to see how she looked. I think the correct word is adorable.

The look on their faces when I brought Sophia out in that outfit cannot be described. Ron especially. They both had a happy, nostalgic laugh. I can only imagine seeing an echo so clearly in clothes such as these. A special moment to witness.
