Farewell

Last Monday was the last day we sent Jack to the Pavilions for daycare.
The idea to put Jack in daycare came up in late 2007, we had been thinking about scheduling and we wanted to get his feet wet in these sort of surroundings. I don't even know if Sophia was an idea when we first put Jack into daycare.
I was not 100% and it felt like we got him there too quick, those were my initial thoughts about daycare. And then I went and felt like I did a poor job of transitioning him one day, dropping him off and leaving. I returned but I felt awful about it.

His first day was 12-10-07. His last day was 2-2-09. I think that it was such a wonderful place for his development, the socialization and the different environments. Somedays dropping him off was hard, sometimes easy, sometimes he cried, sometimes him didn't. Sometimes I did, sometimes I didn't.

I made cupcakes for him to take in and I left our camera with Miss Cindy to take photos of his last day.
We never eat dinner at a table so I have no clue where he got the idea to sit with his hands folded.
Ready to dig in.
The kids ate the messy cupcakes sans shirts.
Monday's gang. Camille, featured in the Halloween from the Pavilions post, wasn't there as she phased out of coming on Mondays. But here is the gang. I've seen so many of these kids grow up it feels odd to think that we may not see them again.
Later that day when Debbie went to get Jack she found him out in the back hall, running around and having fun near the playground area. We brought Foof Foof along for his last day.

Is this all my stuff?
On the way home.
I'm sort of glad I didn't pick him up as I probably would have gotten emotional, thinking about my tiny little guy that we dropped off there two days a week and then looking at this almost two year old kid that makes everyday so much fun.

And here I am....what's up with my hair?
And out comes the tongue
