Saturday

Yesterday morning we got up and went out to the Traverse City Farmer's Market. It was a beautiful day, not too cold, not too warm, just right.
Here we are getting ready, killing time outside.

What's that?

The market was, for lack of a better term, a zoo. This is also the time of year when fish work their way up the Boardman river to die. This shot was taken from the bridge and I know that this doesn't really show just how big this fish was. The thing was rather huge.
At the fish ladder across from Debbie's old office building.

While walking back to the car I needed to use the loo, so we stopped in at Cuppa Joe, in the Warehouse District of TC. I have heard of this location for Cuppa Joe but never stopped and it was beautiful!
Jack and I went and sat on a couch before Jack started mucking about with the Chess set.
See, this is why you always carry a camera on your person!

We had met friends at the market and were told that the Fire Station on Front Street was having a family fire safety/fun day. We decided to go.
Now I thought that the farmer's market was busy, but brother it was nothing like this event! Kids of all ages everywhere, tired parents everywhere, loud noises, sirens, hoses and the like. I saw at least three babies that looked no more than seven hours old. Seemed a bit much to me, but what do I know?

I found it funny that the only building in TC that would need a fire ladder of this size would be the Park Place. Nothing else in town is over three stories high.
Jack fell asleep, Debbie fell asleep, I stayed awake.
Debbie woke up, I fell asleep.
Jack woke up, I slightly woke up enough to have Jack bring me Snoopy and Chuck.
I fell asleep. Again.
Later in the afternoon Jack played with the Hulk hands (I have hilarious video I will post later)
And that evening, just before bed, we chatted ever so briefly with Uncle Josh.
This was actually taken today, a statue near the Inside Out Gallery, which is very near Cuppa Joe. Just thought I'd add it to the post.
