Yesterday afternoon was different. Jack has been taking one nap per day for the past, ohh, month maybe? And that nap has been occurring in the afternoon. Yesterday on the way home from the grocery Jack fell asleep in the car around 10.40. This left out afternoon free and I bundled him up and went out for a nice, brisk walk on the NMC campus.
Chuck is my co-pilot.

What's that?

A coyote! They live with Grandpa and Grandma...

A nice snuggly walk.

Now this is this NMC Magazine Graffitti project, where they put up these...sheets?...and allow for the free expression on whatever may be on the NMC student body's minds.

The 'walls' are draped around the base of the Clock Tower on campus.

Um...Ok, not so sure about the collective mindset of the students. I see that if you are against Obama you lack creativity in your oppositional message and you cannot seem to spell Kool-Aid.

I'm guessing that this message was written and an arm's length.

The concept behind the graffiti wall.

Yup. I vote for a bag of quarters.

So you can spray paint outside but not inside? I think of graffiti as a bit of free expression, not allowing it inside? Well won't that tempt people to tray and tag the inside?

Threats don't seem to work you know...

Now I have to say that this bit of 'Graffiti' is not very original. Well done, yes, but original? No.

Another political limerick(?) or poem.

Meaningless back and forth....round one

Meaningless back and forth...Part 2

The clock tower. Again.

Jack on the inside.

Ahh...the fine arts building. I walk into this building, heck, walk up to this building and a feeling of calm and cheer spreads over me. I think this is for a few reasons.
1. When I moved up here in 2005 (a time I am nostalgic for these days, even with things as fun as they are) one of my first classes met in this building. I remember the early days of my radio show sitting in this building with a sack of tea before class, plotting out what I was going to be playing. I also remember sitting there after a large snowstorm, in this warm building with big windows with this smell....this soothing smell of wood and warmth. I will always love the building as each time I step into the halls it smells the same and that makes me smile.
2. I think I may have covered everything in the first paragraph actually. We walked here with Jack in June of 2007 and I just so love the building. Groovy architecture, groovy smell, just groovy. Can't ask for much more.

Jack. Chillin.

On the way home.

This marks the first photo that was eaten by the iMac. Something happened, I don't know what, but something happened and maybe twenty of my photos were lost. This is how they turned out, I wanted to let everyone see. Big time bummer as I got some great shots of Jack working the leaves in the front yard. Oh well..

Back inside. Jack was enthralled and excited to see Nico giving Pierre a bath.

With the ever-present Chuck.

These photos capture both Jack's innocence and his happiness. Very cute!
