If you have been following this blog you will note that we spent Christmas in East Lansing.
Under the threat of poor weather tomorrow we set home tonight, after the East Lansing area that had been besieged by fog was clear.
We arrived in St.Johns and it got foggy. Drove further north and it got foggier and foggier (I did take pics) and we made the executive decision to find a place and crash for the night. There may be snow tomorrow morning but it doesn't seem as daunting as driving through zero visibility dense fog while it grows darker and darker.
So for now we say farewell from the Comfort Suites of Houghton Lake, Michigan.
See you tomorrow

Your predicament made me remember a story. One year Carolyn Bowron drove home to Flint for a pre-Christmas get together. She was trying to get back to Traverse on Christmas eve with her two little boys. Weather stopped them overnight and she had to try to explain why Santa had not brought their gifts to the hotel.
I'm glad you decided to stop. It sounded very dangerous. Dad and I were very worried.
