Dad and his college amigo Bob are in the area this week fishing, the annual late August trip that we have been taking for, oh, at least 10 years. Today they came up to see us in town and they brought the boat. We wanted to get out on the bay with Jack, see how he liked it, and just generally have a nice pleasant evening spin through the bay.
Trouble was in the air as we prepared to board the boat as when i went to take a photo of Debbie and Jack on the boat I discovered that I had left the card for the camera in the card reader on my desk. Luckily I brought the video camera
(A quick note about the quality here, I was exploring the video sharing option on the camera. I don't like the YOuTube videos but didn't feel like uploading to the site. Sorry for the quality) Thankfully Dad had his camera and we got photos but will have to upload those in the coming weeks as he took the camera home with him.
I will tell you what happened but I think it would be good for you all to watch the videos, in sequence, and try to guess what happened.
The boat died. We hadn't gotten too far out from the docks in Greilicksville and alluva sudden, kerhchunk. The boat died. Dad got it up and breathing again but as he turned it around and headed back to the dock it died again. We called it a night.
We were on the water for fifteen minutes.
But it was still nice and check back, I will post the pictures when I get them from Dad's camera.

Jack seems to be enjoying his maiden voyage. Too bad it was so brief.
Looks like fun.
