TART Trail

Yesterday in the afternoon I packed Jack up and got him out of the house. I do not have another class until the last week of the month, when I got to thinking about it the remainder of these free two weeks will be the first time I have had 100% no class concerns since Janurary 3rd 2008. Hard to believe I have been in class eight months straight, more or less. And with this upcoming astronomy class coupled with student teaching next semester will be a solid 16 months . Which is deceiving as I have been going full bore since I moved up here three years ago.
Anyways, I packed up Jack and we went down to the park on the Boardman Lake behind the library. When I first started visiting Traverse City again and more specifically when I first went to the new library I noticed these planets on poles along a trail.
I assumed that these planets ran along the TART Trail that runs along the Boardman. I was wrong. As we walked on the trail for about 30 minutes we ended up back in the car and looking for the next planet, Jupiter.
According to the sign Jupiter is 0.5 miles from Mars. From the car I could not locate it. I saw Saturn but didn't get out to get a picture. So I will post pics as we get to each planet.

This picture is here to show my mother that I have cleaned AND vacuumed the car with the dustbuster.

I am amazed! And very pleased.

My apologies I did not notice this part of the post, maybe because Jack was not in this picture of the clean Maxima.

As one of Jack's doting Grandmas I must confess to spending time gazing at photographs of his adorable little self more than photos without him.

The car looks fantastically clean in this photo and I appreciate seeing it that way.

After all, it is "the best car in the world" and the price was right.

Now admit it, don't you like it better this way too?
